Grand opening · new store · new showroom
DJ for store openings
There's only one first day. When the ribbon is cut, you want buzz on the pavement, sound in the store and photos you can use for years. Wax Crew brings DJ, sound, lights and photography to store openings in Copenhagen.

An opening people hear from down the street
Music at the entrance is one of the most effective ways to get passers-by to step inside. We position the DJ so the sound draws people in — while leaving room to walk around, browse and raise a glass.
How the opening flows
- Doors open — music that welcomes people and gathers a crowd
- The speech and the ribbon — we turn it down for the speech and back up once the scissors have done their job
- The party — the energy goes up while guests shop, toast and share on Instagram
For all kinds of openings
- New stores and flagship stores
- Showrooms and galleries
- Cafés, bars and restaurants
- Hair salons, clinics and studios
- New offices and moving-in receptions
Photos for the press and social media
Opening photos get used for a long time: in the press release, on the website, in the newsletter and on LinkedIn. With the photo and social video add-on (DKK 1,200 per hour) you get photos of the store, the guests and the ribbon-cutting, plus short videos for social media.

Questions about an opening DJ
How much does a DJ for a store opening cost?
A DJ with sound and lights for a store opening costs DKK 5,000 for 2 hours and DKK 6,000 for 4 hours. With photo and social video, the price is DKK 7,400 for 2 hours and DKK 10,800 for 4 hours.
How long should the DJ play at an opening?
Most store openings last 2–4 hours. That gives people time to drop by, room for an opening speech and time for the atmosphere to build.
How does the music work around the opening speech?
We agree on the programme in advance. The DJ turns it down for the speech and back up once the ribbon is cut, so the transitions land perfectly.
Can the DJ set up outside the store?
Often yes, if there's power and shelter, and if it's allowed at the location. Music at the entrance is an effective way to draw passers-by inside. We're happy to help you assess it.
When are you opening?
Send us the date and address, and we'll plan the opening together with you.
